The 13th Asian Oral and Maxillofacial Dental Radiology Society, the 61st Annual Meeting and 17th General Meeting of the Japanese Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (JSOMR) were scheduled to be held in Gifu in June 2020, but have been postponed for two years due to COVID-19.

At present, the pandemic has not been settled, and unfortunately, it is showing signs of re-expansion.　It is that we cannot hold the conference in Japan, but this time we will hold the joint conference on the Web for a few weeks from Friday June 3rd, 2022.

Two ACOMFR were held in Japan. The 1st ACOMFR was held in Tokyo by Professor Takehito Sasaki of Tokyo Medical and Dental University in 1996 for the development of dental radiology in Asian countries. Subsequently, it was held in Asian countries every two years, and in 2008 the seventh meeting was held by Professor Tomohiro Okano of Showa University in Nara.

This year 2022, 22 years has passed since dental CBCT was used for the first time. Recent technological advances in Diagnostic Imaging such as MRI and US, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and radiation therapy are remarkable, and it is very important to exchange the latest information at both conferences on the background of the remarkable economic development of Asian countries.

We have prepared a variety of programs, such as special lectures and presentations by video on demand, and e-poster sessions.
